I have read less this month than any other month this year. I think this is directly related to the amount of time I have spent blogging. I did manage to read a few books this month, but I didn't make it all the way through my stack from the library. I even had to send back a few book that I had been waiting a long time to read, so next month I will try to prioritize better.
My youngest son browsing through my TBR pile.
Books I've read and reviewed on this site for the month of August:
The Richest Season by Maryann McFadden
How to Rig an Election by Allen Raymond
Hospital By the River by Catherine Hamlin
What I'm reading right now:
Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. I'm reading this for the Classics bookclub
Words into Type, Third Edition, Prentice-Hall 1974. This is a grammar, editing and proofreading reference book. I'm brushing up on my grammar skills.
Books in my to be read (TBR) pile:
Seeker by Jack McDevitt. I'm reading this for the Book Awards Challenge. It won the Nebula Award in 2006.
Know Your Power by Nancy Pelosi. This book looked interesting to me because of the subtitle "A Message to America's Daughters."
Uncharted by Angela Hunt. I read about this author on a blog, and since I've never read anything she's written I picked this book as my first Angela Hunt novel.
Reinventing Mona by Jennifer Coburn. This author is also new to me. I found her books on Amazon when looking at Sophie Kinsella's books. This is supposed to be chick lit, and I like to throw in some light reading now and then.

I'm curious about Reinventing Mona so I'd love to hear your thoughts on that one when you are done. Great picture, btw!
Thanks for sharing.
It looks like we will have a big group of people reading for the classic bookclub this month. I am very excited to dive into P&P.. hopefully I get it finished in time! Uncharted looks interesting, I saw it on someone's list that had just finished it!
Ha - no books on the nightstand because kitty likes to knock them off. She considers the nightstand her personal territory and does not like obstructions...
Thanks for the reminder! I need to get my photo up. Getting into the school mode is killing me.
Love the picture!
I keep thinking I need to try Angela Hunt as well.
I can totally relate with the more blogging=less reading equation. I'm facing the same difficulty. Right now on my night stand is Respectable Sins. Very convicting.
Love your blog! Just found you through BPOW. I'll be checking in to see what you're reading!
Coburn is fun chick lit! Visiting via BPOW!
